Our Memories ❤️

I adore my memories
I can always go back there
When I am lost in my thought
With ample time to spare

Usually on a rainy day
I have a lazy lie in my bed
All my places I have been
Return sharply in my head

If I think hard with my brain
Especially when all by myself
I bring past visual images
Stored on my memory shelf

Every single thing we do
Whether it be happy or blue
Will always be there for a recap
It is entirely up to you

I try, as I am getting older
When having so much delight
To slow it down, make it bolder
Keeping these memories bright

Everything happens for a reason
I  do believe that this is true
You visit places, meet new people
Logging all these too

Isn’t our brain marvellous
This little organ is so smart
The way it holds each fine detail 
For our thoughts and in our heart
