Our Mind Is A Mayday

Our Mind Is A Mayday

Rushing here, running there
Appointments to attend everywhere
Not knowing if one is coming or going
Constantly staring at the clock
Our mind is a mayday with an alarm tick tock

Humanity in a frenzied hurry
Everyone is the very same
Organised by a chronometer
Scuttling like scalded cats, what a shame
The pace of life is so demanding
Minutes & seconds race so fast
Looking forward to the future
In a fleeting glance, it has past

An impossibility to take it easy
So many things one has to do
If only life wasn’t as hectic
Oh how time has control on you
Tho we cannot shirk away our responsibilities
Ignoring obligations we possess
Wouldn’t it be lovely to relax
Without the thought’s of time, nonetheless
