Our Most Sacred Sunday

Our Most Sacred Sunday

I’ll never forget that Sunday, almost fourteen years ago;

When we went back to your breeder, and bought you a little bro!

You were now just eighteen months old, but we saw you’d love a mate;

So we decided to increase our family, for we knew you could not wait!

She had seven little puppies, but one of them stood out;

He ran around to all his siblings, and nipped them on their snouts!

We knew you too were an alpha, although gentle to the core;

So we selected this little wild one, who would play with you much more!

From the moment that you met him, you opened up your heart;

You licked his little body, you loved him from the start!

We named him our dear Cody, the first two letters of your last;

We opened up our front door, you both ran in so fast!

You played almost an hour, he bit you but you ne’er said ouch;

Then when you both got very tired, we put you on the couch!

Mommy took this beautiful photo, of that most cherished day;

It’s all the three of us have left now, since you had to go away!

Oh my Lord this is so beautiful my Larry. I wish I could be there to give Cody a big hug and a kiss. I adore this picture, it`s simply gorgeous. Well done for a wonderful tribute to our little Nico.

All my love to all of you
