Our Story Has Come To An End

Our Story Has Come To An End
By Joseph Mancini
While our love and romance was strong
Our lives were like a song
We thought our love would never grow old
But with time it grew cold
Over the years, we drifted apart
Even though it breaks our hearts
Our story has come to an end
And we can no longer pretend
Our children have bound us together
And they deserve better
It is not our children’s fault
That in the middle they are caught
We need to find a way
So they don’t have to pay
Because their hearts would break
Fear and pain they shouldn’t have to take
We need not to fuss
Our children need both of us
Let us not look for faults
Nor hide our love in vaults
We need to resolve our differences
To end our story as good parents
 And as good friends

Heartfelt poem , putting your kids first and being more concerned for them versus yourselves. Beautifully written .Â
Ah ...the age old story expressed so well Joseph ...it's practically every family now, my own included...maybe they need to reinvent men and women because it doesn't seem to work anymore...nice write x
