Out of Place

Out of Place

He said it was for the best
to move away from all we knew
He say the country would be a rest
So refreshing, quiet and new

The solitude of the long days
The silence of those nights
Except for Coyotes calling till first sun's rays
The house somehow just not right

He became so depressed and sad
Morose, yet anxious too
Some of the people were quite mad
Even the sky an odd shade of blue

Everyday we watched the people walk
Seeming so dejected,hopeless and down
Right pass the house but would not talk
Eerie almost in the complacency they found

Finally giving up and house for sale
Never dreaming a buyer would be found
Against the fates,oh how he would rale
Terrified I thought of the meds he might down

Miracles happen oh yes they do
House sold in less than a year
Back to suburbia,oh we flew
Never looked back,filled with cheer
