Outcast Love

Outcast Love

Within her broken heart a new love bloomed,

And troubled news caused these cold tears to fall.

A burdened soul, that darkness had consumed,

Had begun to favor the lights enthrall.

Her light brown eyes, that had shed so many tears,

Now shone brightly in the morning suns gleam.

He swept her off her feet, and stole her fears,

He captured her nightmares, and gave her dreams.

A plain boy, that no one had ever loved,

Seemed to capture this girl’s fascination.

A freakish outcast, this boy had been dubbed,

And this girl had become his salvation.

They were tortured souls, also castaways,

Whose true love had survived a thousand pains.
