PADDY AND THE ONION RINGS

My darling son came home today

Heck was he in a mood!!

I didn`t know what to say

So there I quietly stood.

I put on a big smile

Then gave him a hug

Then told him how much he is loved.

But his paddy was set into its home

Like a hand in a warm winter glove!!

" How about I get you your favourite snack and get you a nice cup of tea?

I don`t know whats gone wrong with you today!!

But please don`t take it out on me!! "

So I made him his onion rings fried nice and crisp.

With a big slab of bread and butter.

He smiled at me

Then with a small voice and a kiss and a big hug

An appology he did utter.

" I love your onion rings my darling Mum

They cheer me up just fine "

So a paddy was avoided

Within a hairs breadth!!!!

And quess what?!!

That trick works on him every time!!!
