PADDY AND THE ONION RINGS

My darling son came home today

Heck! was he in a mood!!

I didn`t know what to say!

So there I quietly stood!

I put on a big smile

Then gave him a hug!

Then I told him how much he is loved.

But his paddy was set into its home

Like hands in warm winter gloves.

" How about I cook you your favourite snack?

And get you a nice cup of tea!

I don`t know what`s gone wrong with you today!

But please don`t take it out on me!! "

So I made him his onion rings, fried nice and crisp!

With a big slab of bread and butter!!

He smiled at me!

Then with a small voice!!

An appology he did utter!

" I love your onion rings so much mum!

They cheer me up just fine!! "

So a paddy was avoided within a hairs breadth!

And guess what?

That little trick works every time!!
