PAIN AND FEAR

Pain and fear
Pain and fear
I clutch my chest, the end is near
Pain, fear, hopeless, despair
I used to question why, now I don’t care

The world was fine not too long ago
Now it's a barren wasteland where the wild things go

Monsters in the shadows, demons in the dark
You could fend off the wolves with fire if you could just get a spark

Cannibals roam the burned out cities
They’ll eat you alive while you’re still breathing, they show no mercy they have no pity
Gotta get to the ocean, there’s boats there they say
That will take you to safety far, far away

Its lies I tell you, I’ve been there and back
The oceans are tar, vile and black

Everyone's on the move but they’ve got no place to go
An entire population of nomads wandering to and fro

Stay away from open fields, these are dangerous times
Living in the second dark age, you watch your back and Ill watch mine

I’ve got a gun buried in my clothes and it’s got one bullet left
I’ll use it when the time comes to avoid a slow and torturous death

Leave me now and don’t look back
its time for you to forge your own path

Fight your way through the endless night
pray we never meet again on opposite sides of the knife

I’m warning you now, I will do what I have to do
if forced to choose between me and you

When push comes to shove, only the strong survive
nothing is sacred but staying alive
