Poem -
Pain is Forever

What is pain?
Has many definitions
But only one makes senseÂ
Losing someoneÂ
Someone you love
Someone you cherish
Someone you would do absolutely anything forÂ
That is true pain
Pain is always
It sticks to you
Like ink on paperÂ
It’s always aroundÂ
Never truly gone
It’s a shadow of our emotionsÂ
Like a demon lurking withinÂ
Solution?Â
Solutions are only temporary
A fix
The slightest littlest thing could trigger pain
Pain will always come backÂ
Come back in a tidal wave of emotionsÂ
Emotions we can’t controlÂ
No matter if we think we canÂ
We can’tÂ
Pain is always there
Pain is forever
