painting

I painted you a portrait of you and me
I painted you a painting with pretty dark colors
Colors of purple and blue as it reminded me of you
Pretty dark colors is why I used to paint you a portrait of just me and you
I painted you a painting with every stroke I brush reminded me of first love rush
Every curve I turned my hand as I continued to paint a big portrait of me and you
Upon of grand demand I painted a portrait because I saw us as something to be true
A portrait of great midnight color, I painted underneath the stars
Unable to notice every shooting star that strikes from afar
Unable to process the clouds surrounding the sky above
As I was painting a portrait of silky pretty colors
The sky had perfer plans for another
Tip Tap Tattered my painting of wet rain
I had once painted a portrait for you and me
But now that was just once, not meant to be
The pretty dark colors melted away
I had once painted a portrait, one rainy day
