Party

I'm all dressed up
For a party that's not my party,
I'm all dressed up,
But I'm not going anywhere.
I've said it all before,
But I'm sorry, oh so sorry,
But this party that's not my party,
Is too much for me to bear.

I dreamed a dream about this party,
This party that's not my party,
I dreamed a dream about this party,
But I hope it won't come true.
Cause my dream about this party,
Oh so solemn little party,
Is the worst kind of dream ,
Where I know I'm losing you.

I thought too much about this party,
This party is not my party,
I thought too much about this party,
Till my hopes I cannot see.
But I never said I wanted,
This party that's not my party,
I never asked for a party,
That doesn't belong to me.
