PARTY INVITATION

PARTY INVITATION

He got in his car and started to drive
It would be eight when he was due to arriveΒ
The invitation quite clearly stated do not be lateΒ
The party house has number twenty six on the gate

He arrived on time and knocked on the doorΒ
Wondering and thinking what this party had in store
There would be loud music there is no doubt
People would be talking and they would have to shout

The nibbles would almost certainly be sausage rolls and cake
Having too much to drink would be a big mistakeΒ
I'm so glad I received an invitation to the party
Where everyone feels happy, contended and hearty
