Passion and Pleasure

Someone love brought you in the midst of a disguise

In the middle of your core,

The heart happens to bring you a hidden surprise

As I'm trying not to mislead you,

Rather using a compass from a higher guide

Looking not into my own understanding but the Guy in the upper skies

My God, please grant me patience,

Because continuance of unfulfilled prayers

Provokes me from waiting

Forgetting to say my daily graces permits the devil

To visit on an everyday basis

But we're human and everybody makes mistakes,

Taking this chance again to renew my future advances

Prayers are answered when the time is right,

Using the essential tools to defeat this every day worldly fight

Bible, faith and prayers assist your routine of favor,

And having that holy woman by your side

Savors your sense of lively flavor

Waiting for the day where the ring will do the asking,

As well as rose pedals thrown down the aisles

From their angelic white baskets

The woman from my prayers walks to the altar,

My knees get weaker and my heart feels softer

Seeking to build a pair filled with spiritual comfort,

Looking into the eyes of my imminent wife,

As I thank the God that sent us to one another,

As He should be the one to come first

Agreeing with the priest when he questions

Our love persevering for the worse and better

While I'm believing what's better than

The passion and pleasure in forever
