Poem -

past consumes my present mind

past consumes my present mind

Its more then a memory

is more like a dream,

A nightmare turning my past times into a documentary,

The clock turns back time and suddenly my heart dropped,

I thought it was over I thought it had stopped,

Hell never left me It hangs on my back,

I thought it was over and then just SMACK!

I escaped from the reality to just end up stuck in my head,

It eats me up I sometimes wish to just drop dead.

I am strong and I know,

But if it were you should you stay till tomorrow?

I love it! The past can haunt you, but even then, living in the present and seeing what tomorrow brings. Can show how brave and strong you are.

hey, same here! i only just started showing my poems being open. You're extremely talented, don't let others tell you otherwise. if your dream is to be a poet, than pursue it, cause you can do it!

Its frightening thats for sure, but people like yourself who lift others up makes me want to continue. Thanks again!

A large part of the reason we write (especially poetry) is to exorcise those ghosts from our past. Anyone, and everyone, can do that. But to take a horrible experience and make from it a work of art...that requires talent and a will to use that talent. Talent and will: two things you obviously have in abundance!

Keep using them! And keep sharing them with us.

Beautiful work.
