Past, Present & Future: ( Self-Knowledge)

Although the neophytes would like to deny
It, the present and the future should not be
Fragmented from the past. Cynical eyes
May consider the past to be dead. Yet he
Who wants to truly know himself must know where
He has come from, who he is, and where he is
going. This narcissistic age doesn't care
For past epochs because it has fallen in
Love with its own achievements. O it worships
At technology's altar! O its designs
Are impressive indeed! Yet souls cannot fit
Into such a world. To transmogrify
Humanity, reformers must recognise
That knowledge of self contains the future's light
