PATHWAY OF LIFE

From A to Z

There are so many pathways in life
Roads, trails, and terrains difficult to navigate
I find myself standing in the middle of life's web
Thinking of which direction to go.

O! The choices which are set before me
Are enormous and tempting.

But the easy and appealing paths
Which I so proudly and boldly choose
This leads me to sadness, sorrow, and much grief.

There is a constant conflict going on
Between my heart, mind, and spirit,
When they should be one in motive.

After all,
They all abide in the same house.

Therefore, I hide myself in sleep,
But even in the deepest of sleep,
I am tormented by my dreams of choice.

Wilford Barker.
