'Patience'

'Patience'

The girl with sorrowful eyes
And tears of glass
Who mourned the love
That long since passed

buried her heart with a note
With words she couldn't ever say
On it she wrote;
"I loved you then, i love you still, This heart of mine will never fill. Empty it remains, empty it shall stay, until my very last dying day."

Her Lifeless eyes slowly close
Reminiscent of the past
She places one white rose
At his grave she whispers;
"wait for me"
'Patience' will bind her
Yet in the end, set her free

Beautiful. I love the little glimmer of hope at the end. Not even death can conquer true love. But hearts that break take time to heal and without trust how do you know you won't be made a fool out of? Wonderful poem. Certainly got me thinking.

What a beautiful poem, the girl she waits in such heartache, waiting in suffering until her lantern goes out and the sun rises once more.
