Patricks Journey

As the days go by
I do what I do
Breathing bleeding
Tearful inside
Getting caught in the trap of meaningless things
I guess
For a while at least
Until I'm back again
And only in that place
Can I weep for you my brother
In that sad silence
I remember
Just give me a minute World
And ill be alright
Once again able to pretend
I'm forged from steel
Once again strong machine
And with my Repressed heart
I scream in sorrow
Until the day I break down
Destroyed inside from the way it went down
Stillness surrounds
The smell of flowers
A room washed with tears
The tragedy of our lives
Unfolding
Once again as I'm holding
You my wee brother
In this four cornered frame
A longing I can't describe in words
A grief that transcends world's
I sit still
Still breathing
And as I wipe away
Yesterday's tears
I just know
I know I will see you again.
A poem
In loving memory
Of Patrick Herdman.

Hello My friend,
Take as long as it take my friend….Yesterdays residual tears, will again become todays', once again, showers of flow, once wiped freely from your face. Once alone, the memories are all mine and I weep freely, long and without control, for now this time belongs truly to the emotions of my hearts most cherishable loss, of your brother as well as my own...So sad is this one but to relate, I most definitely do, I have lost (3) brothers in the matter of as many years from cancer and a father and mother through loss of kidney failure...A well understood position to be placed in my friend...Keep his dreams and love for you and yours alive, through you and he will always live....
God Speed,
Jim
Thanks so much man :) it gets hard sometimes you know
And you gotta try and make sense threw sorrow
Cheers for your beautiful words Jim
God bless mate:)
Thank you Liamo
He already has my friend, he already has, through the acquaintance of people such as yourself and all others, whom has come together on this site, for one great cause,(To be heard, through our messages in our poems and the visuals, of the collective art added, to be viewed by more eyes, then just the one pair,(the artist own) ..Thank you for the memories of my brothers and loved ones through the introduction of your powerful words in your poem of Dear Patrick...You are so true my friend, each day it gets hard and each day we talk about it to others, it tends to really help you cope.Knowing others feel just as you yourself do and always will...Proud of you brother, for being able to openly share the way you have...
Take Care Brother,
Jim
Cheers Jim my friend
From one spirit to another
I salute you
All the best man:)
