Paveman

That man you see, wandering around, searching for nothing, wishing to be found
That man who is known and the one that is shown, to youths in the street "don't end up alone."Ā
That man fought for his life, he didn't plan on losing his wife, when she picked up that knife, and sent his life into strifeĀ
He didn't ask for the bad luck, for the lack of give a fuck, for the constant and crippling rubbish that they chuck
Do you think this was his plan? He did all he can, he walked and he ran, that manĀ
And after so many tiring years of fighting the concluded, he threw in the towel and now he's deluded. He was tired of not being included, and now sits on the paved streets, where his suffering is but eluded.. His only salvation being a half empty whisky...Ā

This reads like street poetry; which is entirely apt for the subject matter.
The sad truth is...the vast majority of us are just one personal or financial catastrophe away from a life of lonely despair on the streets. This piece brings this into stark relief.
Well done!

My son and I talked to a homeless man, sadly he had an old dog that he owned.Just seemed to make it more sad.He had a place where he said he went in bad weather.
Weāre always running, not that man,not that dog.God love us all.
