Peace Within
You really are my peace of mind
Come through shaking up life
making me question everything I had decided on
a beautiful war you started between my ears
mocking my tears
and making me rethink my fears
God dressed as chaos
I let you in
I'm just not sure how you got within

You seem to answer the question even before you pose it.
This poem is rife with contradiction...perfectly mirroring the dichotomy we experience when we let love into our lives/hearts...the wonderful, terrible challenge of another. It is in the challenge, the contradiction...where we are confronted with the other which is still part of ourselves...that we find the impetus and the courage to grow, develop and, dare I say, to evolve!
Or am I reading too much into it?!
