"PEARL" ODE TO JANIS JOPLIN

"PEARL" ODE TO JANIS JOPLIN

As a Texas' Tornado
You swarmed the
National
Stage
with
"Piece of My Heart"

I still literally
get
Goose bumps
when
I hear
your
Scracthy
Yet
Powerfully
Poetic
Voice

You changed
the way
society
saw
the Youth
Your
presence
demanded
a voice
Your Death
reminded
us
that
You lived
in troubling
times

Drugs,
Sex
Rock n roll
replaced
the "Church Girl"
image
that many
before
you displayed.

You were
Raw
Unique
and
Remarkable

May Peace
Follow
as you
leave
on your
train
ride
from
Baton Rouge

Your Free
Now
With Nothing
Left to lose
And Yes
Janis
Your Audience
Will always
remember
the Demons
You
Had
to
endure............................................

Hey G!!......she burst onto the scene when David Geffen saw her at Woodstock is how, I believe, she got her first recording contract!!  because before Woodstock I don't think many people even knew who she was......anyway, an excellent tribute piece brother!!......from back in the days when artists were actually making music with real instruments and true grit of "workin' it out' without technology of any kind......REAL musicians 'if you will'!!.....Great stuff my friend!!.....you were right!!....I DO like this!!  smiles........ALL STARS!!....Kings To You!!........LOVE & ROCKETS!!.......T xo ???✴??✴??????
