Take Me To The Stars
She left me lying in the dust
Because I broke the trust
That was steadfast between us
I found myself in the outskirts of the normal world
Because of one small lie
The lie I told her seemed white, forgivable
I would discover it was sacrilege
'Never lie to a princess, fool'
I told myself in a tyrade
Though the lie was miniscule
A tragic mistake was made
How do I redeem myself? How do I turn back time?
I simply fall at her feet and plead
Beg for forgiveness and her love back
Tell her that she is all I need
I look to the heavens and could see
That wondrous flying steed
Pegasus, I call out
Take me to the stars
Away from this No Man's Land
Help me search for my place in this world
So I can win back her hand
Win I must, I shall prevail
With you as my faithful steed
If I should lose, forever fail
Then it is only you that I need
....to ride on to recovery

Thank you, Gwen. Of course it's an inspiration from the movie Clash of the Titans. I always found Pegasus to be a fascinating creature. So, I used that special horse as a metaphor to take me away from my pain. To just fly away from it all. Thank you for your feedback. ♥️
I love that film :) when she is put in that tiny bird like cage. Back then the effects weren’t as shiny as they are now. But somehow that film still holds its own. Always nice to be inspired :)
