Never- Land

Driving down the boulevard of your smile

 Wind blowing hard—tongues licking  

 On your chestnut hair--

Covering over emerald eyes so bright

Your thoughts suddenly drifting off—

 Somewhere— gone off to ‘Never-land’

 When you take on that pensive pose

Chin resting on your open hand

Envious I grow watching you--

Leaving to go somewhere safe,

Off into your golden cave—of

Deep thoughts and pomegranates

Where the sun could never harm your

Silken skin and

 Fragile reasoning

Free to exist in smoke and scented mist

 Cool and unreachable
