PERHAPS
Perhaps some day the sun will shine again for me
And perhaps then I`ll see that still the sky is blue.
But will I once more feel, that I do not live in vain?
Although I`m bereft of you.
Perhaps the bright green meadows at my feet
Will make the sunny days of spring shine true.
Perhaps I`ll find the Cherry blossom sweet
Because I know I have not really lost you.
Perhaps the summer woods will flourish brightly
And scarlet roses will once again bloom fair.
Perhaps I will see the autumn harvest fields glow with rich delight
Because I know you are still there.
Perhaps some day my soul won`t ache with endless pain
As I see the passing of the years.
Maybe I`ll listen to your favourite song again some day
Because I know that you still hear.
Perhaps though hard, time will many things renew!
For your love to me was the greatest gift you gave.
Although my heart is now broken in two
I pray that God will soothe it well again.
