Permafrost

Permafrost

It's melting and releasing methane gas,
will eventually heat our world unsustainably;
you're just like ice beneath your exterior,
must be to do with you being so superior.

The ice maiden cometh to freeze you over,
although through all, will remain to be your lover,
such cold comfort comes along into my zone,
no wonder I seem to end up home alone.

No matter, I am rigid and frigid under your spell,
at least the jelly sets like a frozen over hell,
I can not complain because you are my rock,
how do those ruskies survive in Vladivostok.

Some don't, succumb to an unfriendly climate,
when spring brings a thaw, it may just be too late.
