PERPETUAL ASCENSION

There it goes again,

The agony of the seemingly vain struggle

Sings it's song repetitiously

Wearing a bare spot where

Yesterday's hope grew so vigorously.

In meekness I temporally bow

To the endless dashing back and forth,

Storms relentlessly striking out and

Silently taking on a not of monotone,

Even as today dared to begin with hope anew.

As dawn assumes it's rightful graciousness

The angry opponent contests mutely

Any endurance that might yet linger

Chanting in fortissimo, unceasingly

That tomorrow bits and pieces must be picked up again.
