Perspective

Perspective

Anne does her drawing, I do the perspective,
one thing I was good at: disappearing into the distance;
my firm entered a competition to design a church,
the boss was accused of starting an underground movement.

He asked me to do a perspective of the organ,
I said: 'You must be joking,' but somehow I did it,
all those pipes - I had to pull out all the stops,
amazing what you can do if you don't freak your mind.

Isometric or axonometric of a fancy hotel extension,
after a while I said: 'Can I give this to someone else
to finish,' No, was the answer - 'You finish it please,'
I did with an audible sigh, another masterpiece flew by.

The computer gives me all, asks me what I want to say,
okay, 'Hey, Hal - let's put things into perspective today.'
