Poem -

Phoenix

I broke beneath the fire, falling helpless to the flame
Kneeling amongst the ashes, buried in the blame.
My tears became just vapor, my smiles melted slowly
Chaos roared and snapped its teeth, my spirit set to glowing.
Sanity eluded my mind, my temper just kept flaring
Behind the empty mined fiends, hollow eyes kept staring.
Trapped inside this man made cell, cold was my sub-conscience
Wrapped into my self made hell, sold out to the obnoxious.

AND THEN I BROKE

I opened off the flood gates, drowning all my rage
The spitting and the spewing hate, created by this cage.
All the hate and the anger, created by just fear
The bleeding of my tears and silent screams that no one hear.
Desire for love and happiness, forgiveness from the heart
Wanting to fix whats wrong right now, before I fall apart.
To know these tears of flame will heal me, and I can climb up from my ashes
To see myself renewed, with every day that passes.
