Phoenix

*Jill's Slowdown please Challenge*

Phoenix

Slowdown time skies on fire
Universal galactic conspire
Igneous phoenix compels earth
Wayward shine enkindled birth

Effervescent radiance burns
Dog-day world slowly turns
Arising from ashes sublime
Grandfather tolls limited chime

Planets align chasing dawn
Grains of sand marches on
Dusky handmaiden Selene
Polishes quicksilver sheen

Take time to smell a rose
Infinite hours unverbose
Stars benevolently shine
Embed canvas divine.

Wow, amazing images and language. You have an outstanding poetic technique. The figurative language of the piece is well done. I also enjoyed the metaphors.Β

My Dear Lisa,

The World's children smell a rose
While their Grandparents face a death imposed
We can only pray, its rate slows down
From people buried, under six feet ground

All my love,
Larry xxx

WILLIAMSJI MAVELI WRITES....

Upon the bough, so gracefully they lean,
Two tender buds, in robes of nascent green.
