Piano Man

Locked away for hours
Alone within his shed
Deep thoughts and images
Swimming in his head
Not a soul to speak to
No words does he release
All comes spilling out
When his fingers touch the keys
With a gentle touch
His fingers walk
His thoughts come out
No need to talk
Feelings locked inside
Can make the listener cry
Other times it brings a smile
A comfort to the heart
His fingers become magic
The moment that he starts
Music is within the soul
I’ve heard people say
He bares his soul to the world
As he begins to play
His talent is seeming endless
A story to be told
The notes fill in the missing words
His feelings to unfold
His mind maybe his haven
His private hide away
But it becomes a part of all of us
In the music that he plays
