Pieces

Pieces

You’re fashioned by angels with the purest of stone,
A frame of beauty, in you your sculptor personified tone.
Even then there’s a natural affection in the way you smile,
It pulls a man forth like he hadn’t felt warmth in a while.
But with the scurry of my eyes glancing and following,
As you speed by, my confidence you are swallowing,
And with it I sigh.

Yet in compassion you’re hand caresses my shoulder,
And with my heart I rise but with the stance of a soldier.
But in an undying moment my solid stance softens in awe,
As your eyes catch mine for they are the finest I've ever saw.
This once your smile is aimed solely at me as my nerve eases,
Following I hand to you the second of my hearts pieces.
