When I was a Young man
I flew on A Soviet Airplane
From Europe to Japan
While on the Plane
I read a Soviet Newspaper
I was shocked to realize
That much that was written
about the west was not true
How can a government brain wash their people?
A couple of years later while in University
I began to study U.S. and Contemporary European Studies
To my surprise I came to understand that much of what I was
taught in grade school was history rewritten to implement propaganda.
We did not win the American Revolutionary war ( the British Walked away)Β and our forces were not
the contributing factor in winning World War II ( Russia took the biggest casualties).
Wow are we as guilty as the Soviets in Brainwashing our Youth?
In Graduate school
I began to study Constitutional Law
Prior to the class
Like many of us I knew most of the AmendmentsΒ
However I did not know how to apply it
I really did not understand my Constitutional Rights
Today one of the most dishearteningΒ
thing to see in our society
is to see a post of how one's constitutional right has been violated
or an argument of how one particular Amendment has caused oppression
yet when I ask the writer to elaborate as to how the right has been violated or why they feel oppressed
they can not give a real reason.Β They heard propaganda and are just regurgitating it.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
Read what your passion about.Β Find an Empirical source to back up your argument.Β Look It up on WestLaw
Change will happen when we quit talking so much and start listening.Β When we quit writing without verifying.
As Humans we are very much like Pigs.
We devour the Slop given to us
When what we really need to do
is slow down
and startΒ analyzing what we're eating..........................

You mention Amendments and our Constitutional Rights...
TheΒ 1st Amendment, I believe there are cases where people are abusing it and it can be considered a Hate Crime, punishable to the fullest extent of the Law if it can be proven...
If it isn't yet, I think they're working on it...
It can be heard in the Supreme Court...
If People knew and were aware and did nothing to stop it can also be punishable to the fullest extent as such according to the Law...
People need to go back to the basics and understand it or they could be persecuted and ignorance can't be used as a defense...
Especially, if that's what their fighting...
I am beginning to wonder if we shouldn't go back and bring back some of the old laws...
I am beginning to wonder if we are discretely going in that direction and we're not the ones pushing for it...
Congress is always open to listen and with proof who knows?
You don't always have to wait for more tragedy for a Law to pass...

Thank You Sparrowsong for commenting.Β What this piece is about is telling people to research what they are protesting.Β Most people really have no clue what they are upset about.Β They hear the hype and they go on the bandwagon without really studying what they are talking about.Β I read a poem today that got me all sparked up.Β I am cool with the person venting, however most of what they wrote about was inaccurate.Β That just saddens me.Β Really does

I agree but, I may have mentioned it before, perhaps not to you that people Research to the point of which they agree upon, they don't Research the opposition and wonder why...
