PILGRIMS AND INDIANS

If I were a Pilgrim and you were an Indian...
Celebrating together...
Sharing our journey...
The great stories about the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock...
Together to show an example of how things are possible...
To sit together and hear your wisdom about growing crops, living off the purity of the land...
As you tell about your Great Spirit Grandfather...
How you make rain when you do the dance?Â
How you weave and your survival in the winter in a teepee with fire for warmth...
If I was a Pilgrim and you were an Indian...
Together I would want to do it your way...
Where nothing was wasted, and the land would remain clean and beautiful...
Where rivers were made for drinking...
Where we didn't need money for fancy things...
If I was a Pilgrim and you were an Indian...
I would say...
Thank you for showing me your beautiful ways and...
There would never have been a need for war...
Everything was made to be shared...
Maybe, Â I am both Pilgrim and Indian?
Much heartfelt...
Thank you...
Hugs...

Great tribute to those who came together in peace.
Hello Kimmy...
That 1st Thanksgiving...
I will never understand why it had to happen...
They knew what they were doing...
It's too bad we can't say that for all...
We must really love smog?
Thank you for your comment and support!Â

Hi Sparrowsong Such a great informative writeÂ
I agree the Indians lived great lives respecting natureÂ
and all that was around them they used we could sureÂ
take a leaf from their book, your poem is a lovely
tribute piece which was a pleasure to readÂ

Hello Sis Debs...
It's beyond heartbreaking what was done to them and to so many people in the world...
The things people still suffer today...
When I see the face of love...
We will cry together...
There's no explanation I could be given to make me understand the cruelty...
Many do it for fame?
To make a point?
To set an example?Â
To say I'm bigger than you?
I'm stronger than you?Â
The bigger the crime...
The less the time?
Some things I will never understand...
There has not been one Native American person I have met that was anything but...
KIND!
Doesn't matter the tribe...
Many would have taken me in if they could...
Never stopped us from being friends...
Thank you for your comment and appreciation...

Hi Sweet Sparrowsong,
The once proud American Indian, a culture eradicated by greed, a beautiful race reduced to the squalor of reservations. And the indignity of assimilation into the white man's world. You are so right to go back and have us learn their lovely ways. So sad, so sad!
Hugs, Peace and Love,
xox Larry
Hello Larry...
The once proud?
They should always be proud...
Everytime I heard they were called savages...
I couldn't believe my very own ears...
The ones that called them that, they themselves were very much a savage...
They could do so much with natural resources...
For example...
They made and used arrowheads to be able to eat...
The white man needed to kill their meat with a lead bullet...
We see where that went...
When did we become so intelligent?Â
Thank you for your comment and support!
