Piling on the pounds???

I don’t know about you
But the festive eating I do regret
Its not that I don’t enjoy it
Coz I really love it  you can bet

Same thing happens every year
Its the fact I put on weight
It piles on too easily I fear
Seems to simply be my fate

It wouldn’t feel like Xmas
If we didn’t stuff our face
The extra stuff I feed my mouth
Is a self inflicting disgrace

I can’t get enough of turkey dinner
It ends up coming from my ears
For me its just a winner
Gives me loads of Christmas cheers

Then like you there is the extras
Ontop of Granny’s Christmas pud
I’m so greedy I have seconds
That stodgy dumping is so good

Ah well tis ‘The season to be jolly’
I tell myself that this is just
As my tops are getting tighter
& I’m bursting out my bust

This annual celebration will soon be done
I will simply resume my strolls
Infact I may have to start to run
If I want to shed my excess rolls
