Poem -

placenta

placenta

Wherefore art thou God
I lay there in meditation amidst
A billion stars
Between each breath I felt this heart
I seek therefore I am

Wherefore art thou God
I am a mere pinprick
A piece of dust in a dust storm
For you to hurl
Into the hurricane of the damned

Wherefore art thou God
I am lost
Amidst these wandering souls
Suffering for their sins
As a Hubble sifts the pan

Where are you God
Can you hear my breath
In the light shade dark
A mere pinprick quest,
Do you understand?

Wherefore art thou God
Today I received your holy water
I lay beneath the ground
Where the placenta of my existence
Brought forth the journey of a man
