Please Save Us

Hello people of our great world, we’re sending out an S.O.S.;

We’ve given you all that we can give, and we need you now to need much less!

We’re all your natural resources, that make the world go round;

But you’ve stripped the Earth of most of them, and purged her sacred grounds!

There’s a slight chance we could survive this, but we need you all to see;

That if quickly, there aren’t some changes made, mankind will cease to be!

We know there are a few of you, who have seen what’s going on;

And realized, if this carnage persists, then our Earth will soon be gone!

It’s so hard for us to listen, to the ones who doubt your words;

They say that this “Global Warming”, is absolutely so absurd!

We wish they’d see the tears we’re crying, as our brothers melt away;

Our icebergs all are dying, bit by bit each day!

And our forests in the Amazon, now lay “raped” with gaping wounds;

With sex crimes committed by mankind, upon their “virgin wombs”!

Every year there comes a disaster, but still they turn their heads;

They say that it’s just normal, forever, we’ve had these dreads!

If they only knew what was coming, these naysayers who don’t believe;

They’d see there’s not much time left, and their thoughts are ill conceived!

Then maybe if they all acceded, and began cleaning up their acts;

The whole world could unite then, and our “modus operandi” we’d redact!

It would not happen overnight though, for the damage goes so deep;

But if mankind will make a sacred pledge, that they’d vow to ever keep!

We think that even though we’re down a lot, it’s not for the total count;

And eventually, share a comeback, which “Mother Nature” and you surmount!

It will probably take two decades, to reverse the damage done;

But eventually, the tides will all start turning, and the “new age” will be begun!

And forever will their souls bond, “Mother Natures’” and mankinds’;

To share their love eternally, two soulmates forever then aligned!
