Please Stay

Please stay with us our Angel, please don’t have to leave too soon;
Please hang on a little longer, for at least another moon!
We know your days are painful, and you fight for every one;
But you still have bursts of energy, sometimes you even run!

Each morning we go to Starbucks, where you lay upon your towel;
When you see one of your doggie pals, you make your friendly growl!
But we see it’s getting hard for you, to take our daily trips;
We come home and you go right to bed, as your energy fast slips!

You are eating very little now, your appetite has waned;
Each day we fear you lose more weight, while we wish that you would gain!
We know the time approaches, when we’ll have to say goodbye;
But please stay with us for some more time, before endless tears we’ll cry!
