As a poet I share
Much like the wanton coquette
Seductively attempting
To convey, 'Beyond Compare'
Avoiding the pedantic
Wrestling the romantic
While dancing with other writers
A respectful minuet
------------------------------------
But I daresay I hate
The wistful, wanton allegory
Seductively strategic
In the guise of godly poetry
Driving the religious
Down throats as delicious
While never admitting
Poetic design is much bigger
--------------------------------------
Oh, when will the quill
Let go its feathered design
Seductively inventing
An 'au courant' form of flying
Pushing the boundaries
Of liberal libraries
While waltzing with writers
Like old fashioned scribes
-------------------------------------
As a poet I take action
I do so with my sword
In poetic
