POETRY DISTRACTION

So much to do and not enough time 
Instead I will compose a little rhyme 
I really should wash those dirty dishes
Feed the cat and feed the fishes 
However I will put some words together 
Don't want to shop it's terrible weather 

Washing needs to be done and dusting too
I would rather write this poem for you 
Shirts don't unfortunately iron themselves 
I have an empty fridge and empty shelves 
Writing poetry is a fine distraction to me 
Just nothing gets done as you can see
