The rain tap tap taps
On the Windows
And the roof

The children laugh laugh laugh
As they race
Out the door
With reckless abandon

Parents tsk tsk tem
And shake their heads, laughing
Recalling the days
When puddles brought about
So much joy

The water drip drip drips
From the trees
And the dog wags his tail
As it chases the children about

The thunder boom boom booms
And everyone trudges inside
To sit by the fire
The atmosphere
All laughter and love
Until they drift off
Into peaceful slumber
Awaiting everything the next day intels
