Poetry Trolls

Poetry Trolls

We'll make it plain,
We'll make it clear.
We hate your guts,
When we're on here.

We're out to abhor,
We're here to annoy.
Any poet we choose,
We're out to destroy.

We're the predators,
And you're the prey.
We hit and run,
Then skulk away.

We'll bad-mouth you,
Call you names.
And ridicule others,
With our trollish games.

We don't care,
Who we hurt.
We make things up,
And dish our dirt.

Yes call you names,
Then cowardly melt away.
So we can troll,
Another despicable day.

We loathe to see,
All others success.
We evilly compose,
Wicked words of excess.

We have no ethics,
Nor moral scruples too.
We savour self-satisfaction,
By abusing you.

We live on feedback,
By your reply.
We starve without it,
Slowly wither and die.

For we have no life,
To call our own.
As we read embittered,
And all alone.

So bring it on,
Do the worst you can.
For you're dealing with,
A robust Welshman.

For here in Wales,
They make us tough,
We're built to last,
Made of sterner stuff.

A poem I wrote on another poetry site.
Where they were everywhere.
But not anymore.

Sadly there is currency to this. What a brilliant delivery. Thanks for turning it on its head and reasserting (by way of conceit) what poetry should be all about (and what it shouldn't).Ā

Al Bikaadi thank you for your super comment and yes they should know better.
Still there's always hope people can change their ways, however misguided and foolish.
Take care man and I wish you well.

It is such a sadness that troll are everywhere..I try to feel some pity for them as surely they must have a reason to feel so embittered ..but in truth I find that too hard to do much of the time. I love how hardhitting this piece isĀ  and yet full of it's own sort of strength and the Welsh dragon rearing it's head and defying them to take a swipe! Good on ya Shaun and you have voiced what so many of us think also.Ā  Lodigiana xĀ

Lodigiana thanks for your always uplifting comments andĀ  highly valued moral support.
It was sad I had to write it and IĀ  write like I act tough but in the end it was wisely to ignore them. And they gave up the trolling ghost
(and the repellent helped bigtime!!)
I'll put up one more tonight, and I hope you've watched and enjoyed the magical movie Amelie starring Audrey Tatou and its wonderful captivating story and beautiful music...
Take care and of course stay healthy and I'll end by thanking you again and everything you have done for me. It means a lot and never forgotten.
Shaun.x.
