POPPY THE NURSE

Poppy is a nurse whose hours are long 
Always makes sure that in her bay nothing is wrong
Her smile to the patients brightens their day
She constantly checks on their welfare making sure they are okay

It's people like Poppy that I respect and admire
Always on call as the waiting lists rise higher
Nothing is too much trouble I've witnessed first hand 
Why nurses aren't paid more I can't understand 

So thank you Poppy when you looked after my mum
