POSH JOSH

POSH JOSH

Have you heard about my former mate Josh ?
He's now mixing with the upper classes and turning out posh
We grew up together in London's East End slums
He was without doubt one of my biggest chums

By the age of twenty we started to drift apart
At twenty one Josh told me he wanted a fresh start
That would be the time he joined the posh set
His mate from the East End he would quickly forget

I wonder Josh do you still think of the East End
Do you remember fondly of me your one time friend

A friend from the ordinary life becoming snobbish is a case this awesomely rhymed poem reminds me of. When friends go higher in fortune they forget old friends which is not good at all. Kudos and so nice to read from your ink again!

I come to wish u Happy  new year and do please review /comment my newest poem too.
