‘Practise make perfection?” 🤞
I shall dig and delve inside those probabilities betwixt my baffled brain
Spitting out any unfortunate unlikelihoods that are irrelevant for a reader’s eyes again and again
Coz lets face the facts head long, I realise that some of my self taught knowledge may be a trifle insane
But then again I do not proclaim to be professor of academics gaining wealth from a best seller’s publication gravy train...
Just snippets of meaningful muse that I could stitch and sew together, to make myself self-satisfied
God forbid that I should ever end up with a pièce de résistance of perfect poetry and burst my inner seams with pride
Yet don’t they say that ‘Practise make perfection’ so putting that well known proverb aside...
I shall search through my very inner soul’s subconsciousness and scatter dusty cobwebs far and wide...
Scrutinising betwixt and between each and every clandestine nook and niche
Beyond the boundaries beneath my skin and bones, I shall scratch away that irritable itch
Conjuring rhyme and reasons spellbinding my pen on an artistic wordsmith bewitch
And who knows one of these days my ‘Life in verse’ may live on eternally, long after my broken body is lying resting in peace, succumbed amidst the deepest depths of a grassy ditch...
