Prayers and Prophecy
Separation from pain
What are your lips saying now?
Betrayal?
Unkept promises?
Your lies have led me to horrific places
Instead of the dreams realized
I cast all my demons out
Liberating myself from the prophecy
Of your pontificating prayers
Of the downfall of love
When it is with the lying lips
The eyes of pure steel
and the heart of stone
I am alive
