Listening to the News Today
and seeing young teenagers
try to articulate the tragedyΒ
they witnessed,
My heart and prayersΒ
goes out to the Parkland Community
As writers we consume our time
searching for a subject to write
aboutΒ
Sometimes it is joy
Sometimes it is anger
AndΒ
Sometimes it is sorrow
Right Now
Today
I beseech my
fellow writers
and readers
to take
30 seconds
of your time
to pray to your
higher being
Ask for
the blessings
peaceΒ
and LoveΒ
to be bestowed
on thisΒ
Community................
Parkland
our hearts
and sympathy
are with
you
during this
tragicΒ
time.......................

The last Count was 7 that their lives ended today...
Several injured...
I think with the times we're in and all the Hatred one of three things need to happen...
One, every staff person needs to have a concealed weapon permit upon hiring, including those in the Office and Hall Monitors or whoever...
Two, Home School...
Provide online services, meal allotments and keep the Teachers with the Students online...
The Schools get funded, put the money to better safety and still put, towards education...
Three, Build a School the same as they Build Jails...
The measures they have in place still isn't good enough...
Every Child and Staff that's losing lives has been one too many, for much too long...

I haven't had it on for a few hours...
Check the Count for the Nation just this year...
We've only been in it, not even 8 Weeks...
Then Check the average since 2013 through Today...
Tell me, if no one can keep our Children Safe and School Staff...
Something still is very wrong...
Obviously, something isn't working...
Adults take stupid Risks a lot, but we need to protect those that are doing what they're supposed to be doing...
That's Teaching and Learning and every one has a Responsibility...
The Bullying Adults need to stop influencing with their negativity and get out of the way...
There's work to do...
Cry in your coffee, take a longer bathroom break do something else...
If you're not doing something good and constructive, then it's destructive...
Take it elsewhere...

This kid has reached out on youtube, there were several calls about him...
The Authorities said he wasn't a threat to himself or to others...
They gave him permission to purchase these Guns...
I have a question to ask you...
They want to seek the Death Penalty...
He's very remorseful, he's a broken kid who has been failed by so many...
If God forgives him, if he hasn't already, if he's killed for others failures in Death Row...
How is that truly fair?
He was set up for failure...
The Authorities didn't take anything of his past and the warnings they received, seriously...
He never received help...
Their failure has this kid his life...
How is this right?

I donβt have the answer but the system needs to change. Β He is still responsible and I could go on for an hour what needs to be done but in the end he will spend the rest of his life playing offender hustles in prisonΒ
