Prayers to Heaven
 
 
Why did you take your last breath and die
My hope is with the angels you will fly
 
Now there is a vacant feeling to our home
And you have gone and left me all alone
 
As I walk into the ghostly windy night
I hope that your soul is guided by the light
 
I can hardly believe that you’re really gone
I dream that your love in my heart goes on
 
Gone are the days and nights we used to know
As my feelings of sadness just continue to grow
 
Our lives together have gone up in flame
Without you my life will never be the same
 
We vowed to love one another till death do us part
Now death has severed our connection of the heart
 
Who will bring my lonely ship back into shore?
While my heart is aching and my body sore
 
I see reflections of the way our love used to be
Laying in your arms while you were holding me
 
Across the cometary from where I came in turn
Where my heartfelt sympathies forever burn
 
In my sympathies there’s a shining light
I continue to pray for your spirit every night
 
Lord who reigns over the skies and heavens above
Won’t you send him my prayers and undying love?
