Prejudice

I wish I could remember

when prejudice

was just a word,

when the true meaning was blurred,

when being judged wasn't

something that happened daily.

But I've been wondering, lately,

why our world

is like this,

why it has such

and awful haze

why there can't just be bliss.

SOCIETY has

planted prejudice within us;

it's part of our nature,

our ways.

It has taken our innocence.

Oh, how I wish it were

just a phase.
