Present Sufferings

Present Sufferings

Darkness swirled within me

My mind filled with despair

The tears dried on my cheeks

Portrayed the pain I couldn’t share

The rain that just kept pouring

The never ending storm

A blanket on my body

left me anything but warm

Regardless of the pain

The many cuts, the breaks

Resolve was still within me

And I knew it’d never shake

At first glimpse of the rainbow

Hues I thought I’d never see,

The sun shined through the darkness

And He came and said to me,

“The pain you have been feeling

Simply can not compare

To the blessings of the future

With which you soon will share”

And when it's done and over

I want to cry again

But not for what I’ve lost,

But for how greatly I did mend.

Hi anya27  Lovely write the analogy of the
the weather to the feelings I suspect of depression
are superb, then the revelation or message off God
to say you will mend is beautiful to read
Great write very uplifting
